Sue Pak

Cabrini Green Legal Aid
Supervising Attorney of the Emerging Adults Program
Chicago, IL
Sue Pak is the Supervising Attorney of the Emerging Adults Program at Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA), where she oversees the legal services provided to youth and emerging adults (young people between the ages of 18-24) impacted by the criminal justice system. The Program offers services to those seeking to remove barriers imposed by their juvenile and criminal records through expungement and sealing, and also supports youth facing allegations of juvenile aftercare (parole) violations through legal representation at the parole revocation hearings. Sue came to CGLA in 2016 as a Skadden Fellow and provided legal services to emerging adults specifically impacted by gun violence, in partnership with youth organizations and violence prevention agencies across Chicago. Before going to law school, Sue worked in various ministry settings and most recently at Wheaton College as the Assistant Director of the Office of Christian Outreach. It was there that her passion and commitment to social justice grew and eventually, she felt God's call to become a lawyer. Sue graduated with a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2016. She also received a Master of Divinity from Trinity International University and a B.A. in Sociology from Emory University.
