Remla Parthasarathy is an attorney at Empire Justice Center and the Project Leader of the NY Crime Victims Legal Network, a partnership of organizations working to connect victims of crime with civil legal information and assistance through their online resource, NY Crime Victims Legal Help (https://crimevictimshelpny.org/). Remla graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and has spent over 25 yrs working primarily in the area of intimate partner and family violence.

Remla has presented workshops at various national and state-wide conferences, and has authored articles on domestic violence and culture. She has served on the Board of Directors of several organizations, and is currently on the Advisory Council of the New York State Office of Victims Services and Family Promise of Western New York. She is honored to have received the Sr. Karen Klimczack Peace and Justice Award from the Erie County Coalition Against Family Violence, and the Trailblazer Award from the SUNY Buffalo Law School Students of Color Committee. But being a parent is what she is most proud.
