Executive Director
Louisville, KY
Neva-Marie Polley Scott is an attorney and Executive Director of the Legal Aid Society. Scott began work at Legal Aid in 2005 as a staff attorney in the Family Law Unit, where she served as an advocate for low-income domestic violence victims. Scott developed and launched the Domestic Violence Advocacy Program, which assists victims of domestic violence in securing protective orders through a combination of Legal Aid attorney and volunteer attorney efforts. Prior to moving into her current role, Scott served as the Legal Aid Society Director of Volunteer Services and Community Engagement which places cases with volunteer attorneys in the private bar. Scott revitalized the program and engaged private attorneys through innovative projects such as Project H.E.L.P. Prior to joining Legal Aid, Scott served as an attorney at the Louisville Metro Public Defender's Office. She also holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville.
