Krista Selnau

Krista Selnau is a Fellowships portfolio manager at Equal Justice Works, where she oversees Fellows and Fellowship sponsors on the East Coast and serves as EJW's resident MLP expert.
Prior to joining Equal Justice Works, Krista founded and managed the Veterans Medical-Legal Partnership at Pine Tree Legal Assistance in Augusta, Maine with VA Maine Healthcare System. She practiced veterans law, including discharge upgrades for veterans with PTSD or mental health conditions. She also coordinated Pine Tree's veterans pro bono projects, including Military Mondays, a monthly legal clinic in partnership with Starbucks and the Maine State Bar Association, where she served as Co-Chair of the Veterans Law Section.
From 2013"“2015, Krista was an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Walmart and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and hosted by Legal Aid of Arkansas. Her Fellowship project expanded the Arkansas Children's Hospital's Medical-Legal Partnership to include a legal clinic focused exclusively on the unmet needs of children with cancer and sickle cell disease and their families. Before that, Krista co-founded and coordinated a pro bono medical-legal partnership for children in rural Northwest Arkansas.
Krista currently serves as a founding member on the VA Maine Healthcare System Medical-Legal Partnership Advisory Council and on the NCMLP's VA Medical-Legal Partnership Expert Panel.
Krista received her B.A. summa cum laude from Curry College and earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School where she interned at MLP | Boston.
