K. Scott Kohanowski directs the Homeowner Stability and LGBT Advocacy Projects at the City Bar Justice Center. Mr. Kohanowski has been working at the CBJC training attorneys, supervising placed cases with pro bono and staff attorneys, and providing direct legal services since 2010. His primary areas of legal expertise are residential foreclosure defense and real property law. He is a 2001 graduate of NYU School of Law and worked at Morrison and Foerster as a real estate finance associate prior to transitioning to the public interest realm. Mr. Kohanowski is an executive board member of the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York and serves on the New York City Bar Association's Housing and Urban Development Committee and Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Task Force.
