Jess is an attorney with a background in civil legal aid - prior to joining Pro Bono Net in 2018, Jess provided full-time eviction defense to low income tenants in Brooklyn, and represented victims of Superstorm Sandy in their disaster recovery efforts. As the Pro Bono & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator at Pro Bono Net, Jess spearheads current pro bono initiatives and partnerships with legal service providers, law firms, and law schools, and maintains a statewide network of and for attorneys and advocates working on civil legal aid matters both as full time civil legal aid attorneys or pro bono volunteers. Jess is passionate about collaborating with the access to justice community to find ways to close the justice gap, especially through the use of technology. Jess graduate with her BA in International Development Studies from UCLA in 2007, and earned her JD from Fordham University School of Law in 2012. Jess is admitted to practice law in New York and California and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
