Chelsea Sahai

Immigration Pro Bono Coordinating Attorney

Chelsea began her career as an immigration attorney, specializing in family-based petitions, removal defense, and federal appeals. She transitioned to Associate Counsel at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she worked with the immigration practice group in the Clinical Law Program, and served as a teaching fellow for the Advanced Immigration Law and Policy Seminar. After moving to New York, she joined KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) where she mentored attorneys providing pro bono representation to unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings. In her current role at Legal Services NYC, she coordinates and mentors a high volume immigration pro bono program. She has a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Iowa.
