Emilia P. E. Morris is the Legal Director at Central California Legal Services. CCLS is a private, not-for-profit, public interest law firm that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals, families, organizations and communities in California’s Central Valley. Emilia oversees the substantive law teams at CCLS and works to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services to CCLS's clients.
Prior to joining CCLS, Emilia was an associate at a major national law firm in Los Angeles, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation before state and federal courts. Emilia's clients included financial institutions, energy companies, pharmaceutical companies and music labels. Emilia also was a senior counsel at a boutique firm in LA, where she managed matters in federal district courts throughout the country involving mortgage fraud schemes. Emilia holds a JD from Stanford Law School and an AB with Honors from Harvard College. She is a mother of two and a native of Fresno, CA.
